The crank OA of the mechanism shown rotates clockwise about O. The end B of the link AB moves along the line PQ and FD swings about F. Obtain the locus of E for one revolution of OA. OA is 40mm, AB is 150mm, BC is 65mm, CD is 130mm, DE and DF are 75mm. Please use appropriate layers. [33 Marks] Fig Q1 2 Q2 Produce a 3-D solid image of the bracket shown below in Fig Q2(a). Set up Paper Space for an A4 sheet. The finished drawing is to be set out as shown in Fig 2 (b) (shown on the following page). You may use a template that you have previously created, this does NOT have to be the exact same as the title block shown. The pictorial view is to 0.4 scale. Obtain the volume of the bracket and insert this in paper space as shown. [33 marks] Figure 2(a) Q3. Draw a Cam rotating anti-clockwise with a point follower. The cam has the following criteria [33 Marks] • Least radius of the cam is 20mm. • Camshaft diameter 10mm. • 0-90o a rise of 10mm with uniform velocity. • 90-150o a rise of 10mm with simple harmonic motion. • 150-210o dwell. • 210-285o a fall of 10mm with uniform acceleration. • 285-360o a fall of 10mm with uniform retardation.
