I was not at all excited about the trip we were taking. I knew we had to go with Dad on his business trip, but it was going to be incredibly boring. I looked over at my sister who was sound asleep in the car. I felt we had been driving for hours. Mom and Dad were chatting in the front seat very secretively, whispering and smiling. I quickly lost interest in their conversation and I dozed off. An hour or so later I heard my sister squeal next to me. I startled awake and looked out the window. My heart began racing as I saw a sign that said “Wonderworld, Next Right.” Were we really going to Wonderworld? As our car passed under the large sign with all of the characters posted colorfully on it, I knew it must be true. I could hardly contain my excitement. Dad turned and smiled at us in the backseat. “Who knew business trips could be so fun?” I smiled back and sat up in my seat. “Thanks Dad,” I replied. We had been wanting to go on this vacation for 3 years but never had the time. We finally were going to make it happen. Apples are extremely rich in antioxidants, and offer great fiber for your body. Eating just one of these each day can give your body more energy and promote good health. Research also shows that eating apples can reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, hypertension and diabetes. People even say with apple’s sweet or sour taste it can help conquer any cravings you might have. Doctors will tell you there are many great foods out there that will help keep your body healthy; and this is true. Apples are one of the few foods that offer so many great things in one small package though. Along with good health, apples also come in many varieties. So whether you are in the mood for sour or sweet, you have choices and that makes it easier to stick with healthy decisions long term.
