Tell me what you think novelty is?

It seems that consciousness would be all knowing without the existence of novelty? Or in such a state would there exist an amount of information that was random, and if so, how is that different from novel data?

"Terrence McKenna believed that imagination was capable of interconnecting matter waves instantaneously, stating that ""the imagination is a dimension of nonlocal information,"" and ""novelty is density of connection. Events of any given time are recursively related to the events of other times. To me, information exists like a fractal. It is the same image repeated over and over again to create complex information. In reality, there is nothing novel at all about any part of existence, it is all created by the same underlying information. This information can become infinitely dense and perceived in infinite ways, creating the illusion of novelty."
