The dynamics of blood flow is known as hemodynamics. Hemodynamics can be described in physical terms using Ohm’s law. Ohm’s law states that current flow (I) is equal to voltage (V) divided by circuit’s resistance (R). In human body, current flow is blood flow (F), voltage is pressure (P) and resistance is hurdles (R) in blood flow. In equations form:
I = V/R
F = P/R
Re-writing equation:
P = F x R
