Refer to the population and sampling designs given in Chapter 2, exercise 1, p. 50-51.

  1. For each sampling design, indicate whether it is a. A fixed size sampling design. b. A probability sampling design.
  2. For the given population, propose a sampling design meeting each of the following sets of criteria. You may not use either of the 2 designs given in the exercise. Give a brief statement of justification for each design you propose. a. A design which is not a fixed size sampling design, but is a probability sampling design. b. A design which is a fixed size sampling design, but not a probability sampling design. c. A design which is neither a fixed size sampling design, nor a probability sampling design. d.
