Non-management Electives may be chosen from any subject area other than business/management. Liberal arts (Harpur College) courseworktypically makes up the majority of these credits, but Computer Science (CS) or other non-liberal arts courses are accept-able. Students must take two writing emphasis (C or J) courses to fulfill the writing requirement. One of these will also satisfy the GenEd Language & Communicationsrequirement. J Courses also fulfull the GenEd O requirement. *SOM students may register for MATH 147, MATH 148, ECON 366 or PSYCH 243 in place of the recommended CQS 112 to satisfy the statisticsrequirement, but may NOT take more than one of these four statistics courses towards the degree. CQS 112 should only be taken after CQS 111 is completed. **All students are required to have at least 45 credits in 300 or 400 level classes. Students may optionally elect to take a second concentration (4classes in a specific area of buisiness) or may fill the upper division elective requirements with courses from the other schools at Binghamton (non- management electives). This latter option may facilitate completion of a minor or allow the student to augment an SOM major with related courseworkfrom other schools. General Education (GenEd) requirements may be taken in any sequence. The GenEd sequence shown above is just an example. Contact: School of Management Advising, Academic A, Room 142
