INTRODUCTION

I will share with you my story - why I chose International Business for 4 years

at the university. I want to say that I've spent quite my time on social media before,

about 2-3 hours each day, and I am affected by celebrities from home and overseas

too. One day, I accidentally looked at a post on Instagram by Ms.Tang Thanh Ha -

an actress/women business quite popular in Vietnam that everyone knows. That is a

post to introduce the new brand, but what caught my attention was that her husband

was the one who brought the brand from the UK to Vietnam.

I wondered how he did it, the way he cooperated with foreign business and

how to contact or negotiate with them. That day I was just 16 years old and it was

the first time I was curious about it until now I know a little bit about this field

called "International Business". The thoughts were vague, uncertain but filled with

interest in me about these jobs relevant to this field. I used to wish that I had to get a

job in their company or another big corporation in International Business.

Therefore, that is the first reason why I choose this major, even though 4 years ago I

totally do not know any deep knowledge about this field, I chose it because I really

like international jobs, I want to be able to travel around, become a partner who

cooperates with big brands in the world and can contribute my efforts to the

development of Vietnam.

Until now, when I am a sophomore in International Business at Ton Duc

Thang University and Lunghwa University, I have to thank myself for making the

right choices for my life. Studies in this major are really interesting, and I

researched some general subjects and few specialized subjects recently like

International Cargo Transportation, Practices of International Trade,

Logistics,...gave me some perspective about this major. I realized that I love my

major a lot, today this is a hot major that brings a lot of opportunities for a career in

the future because the world always has production, services, trade between

countries.

To sum up, for me, International Business is an interesting major. I love

business, like work to meet or diplomacy with foreign partners, and I want to

contribute to the economy of Vietnam better so that is the reason why I choose this

major. By all my curiosity, passion for the job as well as career ambition in the

International Business field, I think I have been on the right track and have a lot of

new knowledge and skills are waiting for me to discover. I believe I can do

everything.

Chapter 1: Assessment of current self-capacity

1.1 Evaluation myself through John Holland's career test

Based on the John Holland Code Career Test in my report appendix, the result

with the highest score is table D (S - Social). I designed a picture that follows this

result and it indicated some suitable jobs for me. Some jobs such as lecturer, human

resources manager, or nutritionist are quite the same with my preference and

personalities but some jobs mentioned in this table like police, monk and sea

captain make me surprised because I have never thought about it even in my mind.

Actually, I just believe in the result of about 50% because the criteria or element I

have today may change tomorrow, everything can change in the future and the total

score between my tables is not much different.

Source: https://www.canva.com/ - I own design this picture

However, during the time I do this test, I answered some questions for myself,

that is:

1 / What kind of personality am I?

Three words to describe about me clearly are: kind - ambivert - perfectionist. I

feel myself in life quite similar to things mentioned in table C and D as well. I am

comfortable in social relationships and also extremely easy while alone, that is one

trait that made me realize that I am an ambivert person. I am a kind and emotional

person, when I watch romantic movies or when I have seen it with my own

miserable lives in nursing homes, temples/churches, orphanages - something like

that always makes me cry. Therefore, I love to help everyone, listen to their stories

and give them positive advice because I want to contribute to a better society for

education and lives – it is my life value. Besides that, I also enjoy art through

music, book, poem, painting or photograph by classical film camera. For me, art is

not only about enjoying the beauty, but also a remedy capable of self-healing in the

soul.

In work or study, I am quite a perfectionist. I tend to try to do my best in

everything, work hard, or invest my brainpower in every project/assignment I am in

charge of. That's why lately I - a leader that helps my group of friends gets so many

high scores in some subjects and I feel completely worth the effort I've made.

Sometimes perfection makes me stressed because I have to adjust, update many

times in each project but if I succeed, the results I get are never small and I like

great success from great efforts.

2 / What passions and hobbies do I have? What skills have I acquired in my

life?

My hobbies like almost all people: watching movies on Netflix, listening to

music on Spotify, reading books, and writing on my personal blog. However, I

rarely read romantic books, I prefer self-help books because those books contain

useful information to help me improve my skills and my mindset. I always take

notes of quotes from the author or character in movies, then I share them on my

blog and look at them to get inspired to study and live every day.

How about skill? Now I've quite become a confident person than before,

through work as an international volunteer in CIS'V group at university that helps

me better. I learned many skills like IT, how to communicate work, ways to do

teamwork, how to operate an event from bro or other friends. Do volunteer work

not only help me get a beautiful CV in the future but also help me build a healthy

relationship to develop knowledge and soft skills.

1.2 SWOT

a/ Strengths

After 2 years from study entry at Ton Duc Thang University, through study

MOS diploma process (my score is 980/1000) and join do volunteer in CIS'V

group, I've had work organization skills with series of tools like Google Drive,

Microsoft Office, basic design with Canva and iMovies apps. Besides that, I also

have a personal website called "Noble Quotes VN'' - this is a brainchild that helps

me develop my writing skills as well as bring a lot of positive power or noble

information for youth. Therefore, I can use them to serve my scheme in classes such

as presentation projects or essays.

Thanks to my diligent reading and often listening to news, I was able to

research information to study. I think finding and refining information in billions of

news / magazine sites or scientific papers is also a possibility. How to get erudition

that is really valuable to put in my assignment and present it to others is a hard

process that not a few days that I can do.

b/ Weaknesses

I have three weaknesses is foreign language ability, public speaking and time

management skills. About my English skills, I can understand what people say or

do grammar well but I still can not communicate with them because of two simple

reasons that I am afraid of making mistakes and I always have to translate in my

mother tongue before answering them. From the fear about my language skills, it

makes me tremble every time I give presentations in English, even though I have a

lot of ideas to share with everyone but I always have to learn by heart script before,

so public speaking is quite hard for me a little bit.

One more perspective, I feel myself managing and controlling my time frame

is not good. I am not both working and studying like my friend but I am still

overwhelmed. I have 3 main things I need to do every day, that is go to school, do

homework and take part in events in my volunteer group if any. It sounds simple,

but as long as the exam season comes, I am always faced with "deadlines". There

are days I stay up until midnight, sometimes I do not want to eat or drink, just rush

to the table and study in time. I also do not have time for friends, family, or even

myself. Generally, I often deal with stress and under exam pressure because I do not

know how to manage time effectively and ways to allocate my to-do list.

c/ Opportunities and Threat

Based on the criteria mentioned above, I suppose that my strengths can help

me develop my writing skill in the essay and report easily; the organization work

skill well, also research ability will support me in the job, I will have a chance to

work with experienced people, from which advancement to positions such as

managers or leaders. Additionally, I usually share something on social media, so I

can build a relationship with the same interests, passions,...my network will be

expanded, and I believe that I will find some suitable job positions. Today, career

trends are also developing and adding the requirement to use modern machinery and

equipment, so the ability to use my software is also a plus score for me to be

convenient in real work. In the future when I graduate, the qualification degree and

skills I accumulated will help me to meet the requirements of many companies or

big corporations.

However, the negative sides about myself I think that if I do not change, it will

be difficult to succeed. Specifically, nowadays employers require highly qualified

staff as well as soft skills and good language skills, without one of these three

factors, I will be likely to be eliminated or have to compete with other elite people if

I want to get a place in an international corporation. One more thing, if I can not

manage my time effectively, I will always fall into a state of tiredness, even losing

good relationships, and the most significant thing is my health will no longer be

guaranteed.

Chapter 2: Determining the future academic and

career goals

Without a plan, without a specific goal for our life, you and I will forever not

know what we want, who we want to be, and we will not know what we are trying

for. Therefore, based on the criteria for defining the goals of the SMART rules, I

have indicated five core goals that I want to achieve from the short term to the long

term. All my goals for the future use SMART rules:

1. Within four years of college, I must achieve a good bachelor's degree with

a GPA of 8.0 or higher:

  • S - Specific: My goal is very clear that I have to achieve a record of

achievement after college, namely a good bachelor degree.

  • M - Measurable: in addition to being specific, in this goal there is also

something to measure that is my GPA score of 8.0 or higher.

  • A – Achievable and R - Realistic: compared to the skills and knowledge that I

have accumulated in the first two years are from good academic performance,

so to achieve excellent academic performance in two years then I can

completely do it. Generally, this goal is feasible and realistic, I don't set goals

that are too far away from myself.

  • T - Time-Bound: This goal also has a specific time frame to achieve it within

four years.

2. Within a year, I want to study for a FIATA certificate:

  • S - Specific: A certificate in International Business, specifically in Logistics.

This is a very specific and clear goal.

  • M - Measurable: Although this goal does not have a specific number to

measure, but I think this is a degree that not everyone can achieve so it can be

considered as a measure but invisible.

  • A - Achievable and R - Realistic: because this is just a course, I have to pay

and try to learn to get that certificate, so in terms of ability to study and

finance to pay, I absolutely can do it. The goal is very realistic and possible.

  • T - Time-Bound: a specified time frame within one year. 3. Besides study FIATA, I have to get a place in CJ Logistics with a

minimum salary of 6 million VNĐ:

  • S - Specific: Specificity in this goal is finding a specific job at a specific

company - CJ Logistics.

  • M - Measurable: I completely measurable when the minimum salary that I set

is from 6 million.

  • A - Achievable & R - Realistic: I do not fully imagine at the moment, however

if after I graduate, have enough qualifications and undergo a few internships

with good results then I am fully capable get a job with basic salary based on

my knowledge, experience and skills. Therefore, it is very attainable and

realistics.

  • T - Time-Bound: a specific time frame within one year and also parallel with

studying FIATA diploma.

4. After 1 - 2 years, I want to find a stable job at the new IPPG with income

from 15 million VND and become one of the elite employees of this

corporation:

  • S - Specific: The IPPG Group has always been one of the companies that I

want to work for the most, I also want to get a stable job after a few years later

since I graduated, so I think the specificity is here.

  • M - Measurable: I am completely measurable when the minimum salary that I

set is from 15 million and as a first-line employee or leader.

  • A - Achievable & R - Realistic: I am not sure, but suppose that if I already

have a bachelor's degree, a FIATA degree, a few years' experience with other

businesses, this goal is completely Reasonably, I am fully capable of

achieving this position, this salary based on the work experience and learning

from other administrators for about 3 years or more.

  • T - Time-Bound: The time frame I want to achieve this goal is about 1-2 years

after I complete the previous goals. However, reality may change in the future

because I understand leadership positions often require 5 years of experience

or more.

5. The final goal, when I am 30 years old - I want to start a business by

running a chain store system in the area of education for young people to

research and study with the first revenue for my business is about one

billion and profit of about 300 million:

  • S - Specific: when I am 30 years old, I will run a business in the education

field. I think just two of these factors are enough to speak specifically about

my goal.

  • M - Measurable: I set up the first revenue for my business is about 1 billion

and profit of about 300 million, so it's being measured by the amount of

money that I want to achieve.

  • A - Achievable & R - Realistic: I do not know what people think, but I tried to

imagine that time around. I think if all of the above goals I can do, I can be

proud of myself, through a process of studying and working, I will have a lot

of knowledge and capital to invest. This is the thing I really want to do right

now, so I think the situation of this goal is very realistic and myself at that

point would definitely be able to do it.

  • T - Time-Bound: The timing is still uncertain, but I want it to be when I am 30

years old, I will start implementing this startup project.

Chapter 3: Research some jobs in the International

Business major

For me, researching some jobs in the International Business major through 3

criteria: needs, passion, and ability are really similar to the Japanese lifestyle called

"IKIGAI" - I've read a lot about it before and I think now it is really useful for me to

choose my job in the future. Hence, I will list out 5 types of work that I like and

then analyze and answer myself based on 3/4 questions in this IKIGAI philosophy:

  • What do you love?
  • What are you good at?
  • What does the world need?

Through the process of self-research and finding employment pieces of

information, I have selected two types of work fields in the International Business

industry and which clearly stated the job positions that I feel quite suitable for.

1 / Import/Export Sector and Logistics Sector:

Some job positions that I am interested in and also feel suitable for me are

purchasing staff, international payments staff, representatives of transnational

companies.

a. Purchasing staff/manager:

On the websites I am looking for, as I know this is a job for exporting

companies/corporations. People who work in this position require a high spirit of

learning and they have to update new information on prices as well as resources to

serve the company in the production of products. There are many descriptions about

purchasing staff but the main points of it that they have to find a potential and

reputable supplier, evaluate the quality of the input resources, then sign the contract

with the partners both at home and abroad and the two most important things is how

to convince them to sell for you with reasonable price and on-time delivery to

promptly produce.

Source: https://www.yourfreecareertest.com/purchasing-manager/

I guess I seem to like this job because a lot of information for this job offer a

moderately salary from 10 million VNĐ, the job is not too pressure because I am

the buyer, it means I do not need to persuade customers to buy products and I also

do not have to race for sales to bring about profits for them like Sales positions.

Besides that, I also really want to find a job such as meeting, negotiating with

customers to sign contracts and I believe with the current large number of

production brands, this job is very promising even though there are no specific

statistics on the demand for human resources in this position.

Regarding job requirements, the business needs people who meet things such

as: Bachelor degree in relevant subjects; knowledge of purchasing, logistics and

foreign trade; good communication skills; organization work skills, solve the

problem, high responsibility, able to work under pressure and ability in speaking

and writing English well too. Until I graduate, I can improve it.

This is a specific example of recruitment information for an purchasing staff

from Kamereo Company Limited:

  • Job description:
  • Look for suppliers, distributors and sources of fresh, frozen and dried products

(excluding fruits and vegetables). Make surveys of market prices to compare

with prices of partners.

  • Negotiate contract terms, commercial agreements to bring the best benefit to

the company.

  • Follow and evaluate the quality products and services from partners in order to

ensure the stability of the goods supply.

  • Look for an alternate supplier if the current one does not meet the demand for

Kamereo goods.

  • Update information of products, suppliers, meetings, and discussion with

suppliers on the Kameredata system. Make weekly reports following

company’s regulations.

  • Job requirements:
  • 1 year experience in Purchasing.
  • Good command of English in both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Have background in E-commerce/Supermarket/Grocery Shop.
  • Have the ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Others information:
  • Salary from 8-15 millions VND
  • Welfare: laptop, insurance, training, salary increase, per diem and annual

leave

  • Website: www.kamereo.vn

b. International payment staff:

When I was young, my parents often advised me to choose a job in the state

agency such as a teacher, a doctor, or a bank employee while I preferred jobs like a

business. However, now I think a job like the international payment staff is also fine

because I can work in the international business and in a stable environment that my

parents want to.

The international payment staff is responsible for assisting customers in

performing international payment operations to complete the contract. That is why

these people have to know about import and export, logistics to support import-

export companies/corporations work better. In addition, the skill also requires them

to be good at English, careful in work because of a little mistake, you will be able to

compensate terribly and finally the enthusiasm, thoughtfulness to guide or explain

answer questions for customers.

Source: https://songanhlogs.com/hoc-thanh-toan-quoc-te-ra-lam-gi.html

In my opinion, this is a quite safe position after graduation because it does not

require anything too high or have to do heavy work, the salary and remuneration at

the companies/banks that I find out is also pretty good. In addition, with the

shortage of human resources in the import-export or Logistics industry of about

18,000 people, this position will surely have many opportunities in the future. In

general, I like this job about 70%, the remaining 30% I still wonder because I will

be limited to my preferences of not going to diplomacy or meeting with partners

over the world.

This is a specific example of recruitment information for an purchasing staff

from Truong Thanh Wood Industry Group Joint Stock Company:

  • Job description:
  • Making booking notes for import and export goods.
  • Implementation of international payment vouchers.
  • Transactions with the bank to perform related work in international payments.
  • Make a dossier to apply for a C/O for exporting or buying insurance.
  • Going on a business trip to do relevant documents (B/L; C/O; Fumi; Phyto;

Inspection ...).

  • Track customer payments and send documents to customers.
  • Report & archive documents according to company regulations, ISO and CoC.
  • Perform work according to deployment / direction from the head and the

board of directors.

  • Job requirements:
  • Withstand high work pressure.
  • Proficient in office computers (exel, word, internet).
  • Work independently and in teams.
  • Understanding of professional expertise.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Passionate learning, constantly striving at work.
  • Experience: From 1 year working in the relevant field or more.
  • Others information:
  • Salary: 10-12 millions VND
  • Welfare: Laptop, insurance regime, travel, allowance, shuttle transport,

uniform, bonus mode, training, increase the salary, business fee, seniority

allowances and annual leave.

  • Website: www.truongthanh.com

c. Supply chain staff/administrator:

Somedays, when I have gained a lot of practical work experience and also the

opportunity to meet with many major industry partners or brands, I want to move to

another job position with a higher level like supply chain manager. According to

information on the Internet, this is a job that covers all steps from employee

management, purchasing department management to warehouse management and

shipping.

Source: https://www.oxbridgeacademy.edu.za/blog/5-mistakes-to-avoid-

when-starting-out-as-a-supply-chain-manager/

This job requires key requirements such as a degree in Foreign Trade or

Economics (possibly higher than a bachelor's degree like master's degree), the

ability to communicate in foreign languages, certificates like MOS or FIATA

(optional). In addition, businesses also require some suitable skills in the era of

technology 4.0 that employees can use statistical software, machinery and

equipment, and most importantly, can bear high pressure at work, logical thinking

skill, teamwork, problem solving as well as leadership. Depending on the results of

the work, employees will receive the salary and benefits they deserve, but if people

do well, it is entirely possible that you earn more than 15 million per month. Today,

the demand for human resources at senior levels and management levels of the

International Business sector is still quite lacking, so if I meet the above conditions,

I will have many opportunities to advance in my future career.

This is a specific example of recruitment information for an purchasing staff

from Golden Phoenix Vietnam Company Limited:

  • Job description:
  • Create the company’s supply chain strategy.
  • Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and

other issues.

  • Evaluate and report on KPIs. Monitor logistics to make sure they run

smoothly.

  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records. Train and guide employees.
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
  • Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, customer service,...).
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business

growth.

  • Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain.

Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.

  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more

profitable deals. Others as works required.

  • Job requirements:
  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field over 10

years.

  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes.
  • Working experience of relevant software. Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail. Creative problem-solving. A strategic and analytical mind.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field.
  • Fluency English.
  • Others information:
  • Salary: 2,000-3,000 USD
  • Level: manager.
  • Welfare: laptop, insurance regime, bonus mode, health care, training, increase

the salary, business fee and annual leave.

  • Website: http://www.gph.vn

2/ Marketing Sector

The final job I am interested in is Import Export Staff in E-commerce.

Actually I just accidentally found this job recently, I used to think Marketing and

International Business are two completely different fields but it sounds quite

interesting to buy and sell on e-commerce floors. Although my main major is

International Business, I am quite good at writing as well as know how to use social

media and basic editing software, so I wonder why not give a chance to develop

both expertise and strengths.

Regarding job requirements, I feel that the business does not require too strict,

just graduated from colleges / universities majoring in: Business Administration,

Foreign Economic Relations, International Trade, International Business. ..; have an

understanding of online marketing, international trade ...; skills such as good

communication, teamwork skills, creativity and English ability.

Every day, people working in this position need to carry out Marketing and

promote products in the international E-commerce environment such as Alibaba,

Amazon, ..., fulfill international orders; receiving guests and negotiating

negotiations with international customers; market development and exploitation of

potential customers. By a basic salary of 5-6 million VND but I can get extensive

training in international trade, the opportunity to work with customers and learn

from good leaders, I think this is also one of the jobs that young people and fresh

graduates can do. In the future, maybe this would be the first kind of job I want to

apply to further develop myself both professionally and in another major as

Marketing because I am quite passionate about writing to give advice or persuade

others, especially when Marketing is also a "hot" industry today and career

opportunities are always open to young people same me.

Chapter 4: Deciding a career for myself

After researching a wide range of job positions in the International Business

major as well as the needs of each type of job, I have chosen for myself some jobs

that I love the best and it also suits my ability and my interests. Below is a list of

those jobs, I will also review the criteria from which to evaluate and make a

decision on choosing one job position that I think is most fitting for me. My rating

is on a 5/5 scale (from one being the lowest to five being the highest).

Job position Values Benefits Difficulties Personality Skills

1 Purchasing

staff/manager

2 International payment

staff

3 Supply chain

staff/administrator

4 Import Export Staff in

E-commerce

In my view, through this evaluation table, the suitable job for me I suppose

is"Purchasing staff/manager" but one more position job I also want to apply for

when I have fully experienced in work is "Supply chain staff/administrator". As I

said, Why? Because I hope I will have many career advancement opportunities in

the future but if I can only choose one job right after graduation, I still choose this

position first - purchasing staff/manager because I want to improve more skills,

knowledge and observe also learn from my leaders before I become a leader in next

years.

In fact, all four positions I feel quite like and suitable for myself both in terms

of knowledge, personality and skills. Although each position has its own job

characteristics and no job that is both easy to do and well paid, it sounds no sense.

At present, I decide my job in the future is "Purchasing staff/manager" because I

exactly want to apply for this position in the first year of work. It is completely

suitable for my skills and my knowledge in some aspects that I like such as: meet a

lot of partners from home and overseas, work with the service suppliers or shipping

and explain/instructions for everyone in the work process. Besides that, the job

requirements are also quite moderate, not too difficult because now I am improving

my English as well as many soft skills day by day through my international

volunteer group - CIS'V at university. In terms of work experience, almost the

recruiters require their employees to have negotiation skills, withstand high

pressure, have solid knowledge of raw materials - production processes - order

management – delivery – cost – quality. All of these things I believe that I will be

trained and developed well during my internship at the corporation. However, the

future is very unpredictable, I can not guess and everything can change, so this job

position is just my plan and I am living in the present, trying now to be able to do

everything in the future.

Chapter 5: Create the implementation plan

specifically

5.1 Define goals and make a plan

As I said, the goal will be forever the goal if people do not sit down and

write out the specific plans as well as to do a list. Therefore, I will synthesize

my study processes, activities based on my goals in chapter two. To do that, I

rewrite again on goals for ease to follow-up:

  • Within 4 years of college, I must achieve a good bachelor's degree with a GPA

of 8.0 or higher.

  • Within a year, I want to study for a FIATA certificate.
  • Besides study FIATA, I have to get a place in CJ Logistics with a minimum

salary of 6 million VNĐ.

  • After 1-2 years, I want to find a stable job at the new IPPG with income from

15 million VND and become one of the elite employees of this corporation.

  • The final goal, when I am 30 years old - I want to start a business by running a

chain store system in the area of education for young people to research and

study with the first revenue for my business is about one billion and profit of

about 300 million.

Based on these five goals, I will in turn give specific plans for each milestone,

detailed activities I have been, are doing and will be doing as well as the solutions

for each of my plans.

1 / Identify important knowledge and skills:

Similar to other majors, International Business majors also require students to

acquire certain specialized knowledge and skills. Following the training programs at

Ton Duc Thang University and Lunghwa University, I have summarized it as

follows:

a. In terms of expertise, students in International Business major like me have

important knowledge such as:

  • Economic knowledge, especially explaining the relationship between factors

in the micro economic and the macro economic.

  • The methods in statistics, economical mathematical models.
  • Knowledge of management, finance, accounting, marketing in business in

general and international business in particular.

  • Important knowledge in international business: environment, law,

international economic relations, international finance, international

investment project management.

  • Knowledge and skills in negotiating foreign trade contracts, and how to

organize the performance of foreign trade contracts.

  • The theoretical knowledge and profession in freight forwarding, logistics.
  • The knowledge and operations of logistics, management, implementation

organization, finance, marketing, human resources

b. In terms of skills, I have to focus on these specialized skills and soft skills

such as:

  • Professional skills: skills to collect, analyze, evaluate business data and use

information effectively; business planning skills; commodity supply chain

management skills; export and import management, logistics, international

payment skills; Human resource management skills in the global integration

environment; situation handling skills, breakthrough thinking skills.

  • Soft skills: team work skills; communication skills; skills in using foreign

languages, information technology and application software; negotiation,

presentation, report writing skills; time management skills; skills in building

and developing community relations.

2/ Plan of studying subjects and soft skills development in each semester:

In fact, I predict I will have 5 years instead of 4 years at university. The

reason is that my first year just only focused on English courses and it was not until

the summer that I was able to study a full-fledged major. I did not reach the entry

level of English so it took me a year to improve more, so in the plan below I

temporarily call the first school year the foundation year.

Goal: Within 4 years of college, I must achieve a good bachelor's degree with a

GPA of 8.0 or higher.
