Tell us about yourself - \I've always wanted a career in the healthcare field, and my desire to work in this field grew stronger after I completed my CNA course and worked as a CNA in a long term care facility. I enjoy helping people greatly, it gives me a highly rewarding feeling. Why did you decide to become a CNA? - \I had always aspired to be a doctor, but my decision changed more so after I started high school. I took many health related classes to expand my horizon on what speciality I wanted to do. But my decision to become a Nurse developed towards my later years of high school, so I decided to take the CNA course to get some exposure into the healthcare field before college. Why did you leave your last job? - \It was incredibly hard for me to leave my last job, simply because I had a connection with all my residents and my co-workers. But I moved to Edwardsville for Nursing School, so I had to let go. I enjoyed working with Geriatric pts very much, although it requires a great amount of patience to work with them. A time when you had to do something difficult, what you actually did, how it turned out, or if it did not turn out well, what you learned for next time? - \There was a night when we were understaffed, just two CNAs for one hall, so roughly around 20pts to care for. Most of the residents on that hall were 2 assist so it was a rough night. I did encounter a dilemma though, my fellow co-worker was busy assisting a resident and I had a call light for a resident wanting to use the restroom and this resident is normally a 2-assist. Although I thought strategically and put a gait belt on the
