stressed. The researchers came up with this study to further understand and be able to expound what the students are struggling about and how it affects their mental health. The study was conducted in a Qualitative manner. The method in collecting the data was done through questionnaires.

This study attempts to describe the stressors and explain its effects to the Grade 11- HUMSS students.

The study used descriptive method of research. The data was collected by using questionnaires. The information acquired were analyzed employing statistical tools like percentage and frequency.

Based from the data gathered, the following findings are revealed: 28 or 93.33% of the grade 11-HUMSS students admitted that they have experienced different stressors. Grade 11-HUMSS students admitted that they encountered multiple stressors nowadays like mostly of them were financial problems or 73.33%. And 76.67% of Grade 11-HUMSS students concede that stressors affect their performances in school. Also the respondents reveal that they address stressors through various activities. Stressors affect the mental health and behavior of Grade 11- HUMSS students.

The results of the study determined that the Grade 11-HUMSS students of Iligan City National High School reveal that stressors has a quite big impact to the respondents. Based on the findings of the study, the following recommendations were made:

  1. For the School Administrators, they must plan and implement activities that would help address stressors encountered by senior high school students.
  2. For the Teachers, they should also see to it that in giving their students’ requirements, the students won’t be struggling in catching up with the other subjects.
  3. For the Students, they should balance their time in everything they do by knowing which is to be prioritized.
  4. For the Parents, they should also try to reach out to their children for they might be going through a lot especially in their academics. One of the ways to help their children in overcoming all of these is that they could always encourage and support them with their needs. And also, never forget to understand their children’s part as students and as individuals.

and even cannot make time for themselves. There are plenty of performance task to do, and the task has to be done right away, and a little bit of some household chores afterwards. Those stressors may include the hassle of a student of which they will experience through their groupings at school during an assigned activity. Based upon experience, these said common stressors can cause a loss of interest in school, personal hobbies, and adds mental breakdowns, absence of communication with parents or even the whole family of the student, and fails to pamper one self.

It is important to know the different kinds of stressors so that the students may avoid them. Thus doing this may help others to know the disadvantages of being so stressed in school_._ Students, specifically the Grade 11 HUMSS are the target to read this research so that they may be enlighten why they’re stressed out.

At its most basic, stress is defined as any change or pressure in the environment. Most people think of stress as a bad thing, but in reality most people need some of it.

The reason of why the researchers conduct this study is that they want to dig deeper about the stressors and the researchers can relate to this research problem.

Theoretical Framework This study is anchored on the following theories: Anxiety and Stress Management (Trevor J Powell and Simon J Enright 2015), Law Stress: Relationships Between Academic Demands, Social Isolation, Career Pressure, Study/ Life Imbalance and Adjustment Outcomes in Law Students (Adele Bergin and Kenneth Pakenham

  1. and the Stress and Strategy (Shirley Fisher 2015).

Anxiety and Stress Management (Trevor J Powell and Simon J Enright 2015): This book has been written primarily as a practical guide for health professionals working with clients experiencing anxiety and stress-related problems. It explained theoretical ideas in everyday language, avoiding the use of jargon and relying on metaphor and analogy to assist understanding and recall. The authors hope that health workers may wish to use the explanations

dimensions. Further analysis indicated that the majority of law students reported Moderate to Extremely Severe symptoms of depression (53%) and anxiety (54%). Practice implications, including the need to promote social connectedness in law schools, are discussed. Stress and Strategy (Shirley Fisher 2015): This book is designed for intermediate and advanced students for psychology. It should be of interest to students in related disciplines in the social sciences and medicine who are concerned with stress and its relationship with human health and efficiency.

There are two main aims in writing this book. The first is to provide a basis for understanding stress and its effects on health and efficiency. The second is to develop and extend a new synthesis of ideas about stress in terms of control, strategy, and the implications for health. There already are a number of useful accounts of the general effect of stress on biological and psychological systems. Most notable are two books: The first by Cox (1978) views stress from psychological and physiological perspectives; the second by John Jung (1978) sets the concept of stress in the context of general

motivational research. In addition, there are more specific text which provide empirical and theoretical accounts of a range of environmental stresses and their effects on efficiency (Broadbent, 1971; Poulton, 1970). More recently, a book of readings by Hockey (1983) has brought the research literature on environmental stress up to date. It is proven that even today’s generation, it is very much possible that various stress can cause some mental sufferings like anxiety.

Anxiety and Stress Management (T.J Powell and S.J Enright 2015) serves as a guide for health professionals for their clients having anxiety and stress-related problems. In connection to the study, the researchers can gather information and more knowledge about stressors and on how to address it. Law Stress: Relationships between Academic Demands, Social Isolation, Career Pressure, Study/ Life Imbalance and Adjustment Outcomes in Law Students (A. Bergin and K. Pakenham 2015) states that Law Students experience different kinds of stress such as academic demands, social isolation, career pressure and study/life imbalance. From this, the researchers can reflect that this are also the common kinds of stress that not only Law students undergo, but also to every student in any course and in any level. Stress and Strategy (Shirley Fisher 2015) states

And with this study, it will help give answer to the questionable sentiments of their children. The results of this study will encourage them to strengthen their support to their children and to the school in general.

Future Researchers. This study will serve as their guide of reference to those who are interested to speculate on the said study. This study may also assist them along with enhancing their knowledge related to their research. Guidance Counsellors. This study serves as a reference to enhance their work and whatever they will get here can be helpful on how they are about to apply it towards their students. And also, for their work to be productive and effective in serving the students in school.

Scope and Limitation
