To design and fabricate patient monitoring system for monitoring Hearth rate signal. 2. To develop wireless system of monitoring system using Arduino. 3. To develop data monitoring system using integration between Arduino and heart beat sensor. 5 MOTIVATION  Help gym members see when their workouts are too easy or too difficult.  Demonstrate the usefulness of interval training.  Help gym members become more conscious of body cues during and after a workout.  Help gym members see consistent progress toward physical fitness goals. 6 HISTORICAL BACKGROUND Heart rate has been becoming an essential parameter which is linked with the cardiovascular system of the human beings. There are several ways of measuring the heart conditions of the people. Heart rate, which is also known as pulse, is the number of times a person heart beats per minute. The heart rate is dependent on the condition of one’s heart, size of the body, age, the person doing any activity or being at rest etc. Any of these actions would cause the variability of heart beat rate. Result shows the average adult heart beat ranges from 60-100 bpm. 7 SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS  Never eat, drink, or smoke while working in the laboratory.  Read labels carefully.  Do not use any equipment unless you are trained and approved as a user by your supervisor.  Clean up your work area before leaving.  Wash hands before leaving the lab and before eating. 10 HARDWARE/SOFTWARE LIST WITH COST ESTIMATION Components Costs Arduino UNO 500 16 x 2 LCD Display 350 10KΩ PotentiometerΩ Potentiometer 50 330Ω Resistor 10 Push Button 20 Heartbeat Sensor Module with Probe (finger based) 150 Mini Breadboard 50 11 RESULTS 12
