2-3 Final Project Milestone Southern New Hampshire University HSE-101 Introduction to Human Services

My ideal place of employment would be at the Rice County, social services- Families and Children. Because I care about making a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable and helpless people. Having an impact on other people's life is another goal of mine. This organization offers a wide range of services and is always hiring for new positions. Besides this agency, I am not interested in any others at the moment. Domestic violence, child welfare, adult protection services, abuse hotline, and domestic violence are among the primary types of services provided by the Rice County. No matter the time of day or night, anybody can call the Rice County abuse line to report suspected or confirmed cases of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. The Rice County Abuse line is staffed by case managers who strive to safeguard vulnerable individuals and children. Adult Protective Investigator is the next job on the list. This person looks into claims of financial exploitation, abuse, neglect, or self-neglect involving vulnerable persons, as well as ways to reduce the likelihood of such incidents. One more is intake case managers, which entails helping people with mental illness with residential care, enrichment activities, treatment, stabilization, rehabilitation, and recovery. People that work at RCSS (Rice County Social Services) are representatives for client service, some of them may be front desk clerks whose only responsibility is to admit new clients. Additionally, there are case managers who are swamped with reports. Supervisors in charge of assigning cases to case managers and checking in on their progress. Case managers have the worst work since they sometimes have to remove a kid from a family. They evaluate cases with the supervisor, follow up with clients, the courts, and the family. Working at Rice County Social Services appeals to me since I'm aware that some people don't have the means to provide for their families. It would be an honor for me to serve as a

caseworker to help people access the resources they need, whether it's food stamps to feed their families or Medicaid to pay for a child's medical care.
