Offer excellent models of scientific methods (hypothesis, experiment, etc) 5. Not only teach about a certain topic, but also gives a new perspective/point of view; shows good & bad side. TERM 5

  1. What r authors' qualifications. (proper credentials: PHD). 2. R facts accurate and up to date? Way to find this out is to go to bibliography; should have refrences from last 2 yrs. 3. Is the book realistic? Books need to portray the truth. 4. R facts and theories clearly distinguished for kids? Ex: There is no conclusive evidence of gloabl warming.

DEFINITION 14 We like talking about fiction. IRA test are over fiction books. It's easier for authors to write about true facts and it's faster. Authors publish the same books all the time.
