Gender Equality in Family and Religion Sociology 1301 Gender equality is the most debated topic around the world today over the past 20 years, gender equality has increase in seven to ten countries around the globe. It has increase in 27 countries today and have affected family and religion because of their right. Gender equality is different in religion practice within the society. Gender equality in religion has been fought in several countries of the world and have play less role in other countries than what it did 20 years ago. Now religion has become to accept gender in their culture and has play important role in our society today due to the change of family and religion. Today, religion has play 37 percent in other countries and less people said that 27 percent of religion play important role in their culture. Also, in other country gender equality was unequal to women. Women was treated differently based on their appearance and gender. Most societies and family women as housewives. Some of them were force to drop out of school to stay home be prepare to take care of their husband when they get married. Also, out of the 27 countries, gender equality was not allowed to do thing not according to their religion and culture because of that women was treated differently and unfair in the society.Another reason is family gender inequality is wrong and gender equality is right because of the two genders are not allowed to view equal in other country. It reveal that most of the 27 countries do not oppose to the important role for religion in their society and culture. In additions it is applies that family ties are weakening because of gender equality. Also, it has become bad and serious in other countries. In other countries like Indonesia and the Philippines believed that it is a good thing having gender equality to change their culture and living style. But some African countries does not apposed of gender inequality in their society because they believe that wife should be able to stay home, taking care of the home while the husband is at work. They also, expect the wife to not work outside of the home and take care of the family and husband is not. In some family if the wife want to work outside of the home and after discussing her desires to the family and the family not happy with the ideas of working outside of the home. Across Europe, North America and Australia it have strongly increased gender equality and diversity his increased too in their countries. Because women have stand up for their right proofing that it unequal for women to be treat unfairly base on their gender. Even in the United State civil right movement women back then did not have the right to work outside of the home and they did not get the credits that they deserved. Today in the western countries, in Europe, North America and Australia, people who are more in favor of diversity tend to be younger, have more education and place themselves on the left end of the political spectrum and gender equality are becoming strong every year their countries. Women are now on the top of everything proofing that they can do anything not to judge them based on their gender because we should all have the same right that we all humans are supposed to have. Over the society has been working on changing the way we view both genders, religion, and family.
