Health and Social Care will enable them to understand the physical, intellectual, emotional and social transition throughout the life stages from birth to later adulthood enabling them to understand the different life events that could affect individuals during the life stages allowing them to make judgements on how to deal with these.
Within the Health and Social Care courses students will also be able to understand the skills and qualities that are needed in ensuring that legislation, rights and care values are upheld together with the effectiveness and importance of effective communication in developing a rapport with all within the Health, Social Care and Children and Young People’s sector, embedding this as they progress through KS4 and KS5.
