Human Resource Management in Education The Philippines' Human Resource plays a major role in the maintenance, development and acquisition of workers in any organization, especially educational institutions. In today's pandemic, educational institutions suffered greatly, impacting the effectiveness of teachers and students in distant learning. According to what I know about Human Resource Management in the Philippines, their workload now has doubled since the epidemic. They are the ones who keep the institutions in check and deal with Covid related issues; They act as an intermediary between the institution's staff, instructors and students who greatly supports harmonious relationship to one another; They are the key person for proper compensation on the teachers based on their performance; They are conducting trainings for the improvement of the staff or teachers to provide greater help inside the institution. Without them, there would be no organizational structure and communication between people will be a great challenge. The functions and challenges of human resource management apply in today's human resources in the Philippines. Not just at academic institutions, but also in other organizations or groups. I would like to highlight the use of ICT in education, which is very challenging in today’s setup because we know for the fact that not all teachers and students have access to computers or the internet. Some may have access but do not have an adequate knowledge on how to manipulate the computer or smartphone. We must standardize ICT education for teachers and students for them to adapt to the ever-changing technological advancement. Some may not have access to the internet or computer, but once they have been educated on the various terminologies and are accustomed with the basic operations of a computer or smartphone, they will be able to quickly adjust to whatever technology they will encounter in the future. As a recommendation for the improvement of the HR in the Philippines, those in charge of schools or organizations should provide assistance not only monetarily but also by supporting the Human Resource's diverse programs and goals and making it possible for them to
