Instructions for writing an annotated bibliography, which is a preliminary assignment for a larger research paper. Students are required to include a complete and correct mla citation for all sources, as well as an informative and descriptive annotation. The annotation should explain the author's authority and qualifications, the scope and main purpose of the work, any potential biases, and how the source will support the research and claim. The bibliography should have the exact form indicated in the dianne hacker reference web site. Students are expected to have a minimum of 2 internet sources, 2 book or scholarly article sources, and identify one interview or potential interview to receive a passing grade.

Instruction for the Annotated Bibliography As a student you are normally writing a bibliography as a preliminary assignment for a larger paper—in this case your research paper—and as an indication of the sources you intend to use for that paper. In this case your purpose is to write an informative and descriptive annotation of those sources. Your bibliography should include: 1. Complete and correct MLA citation for all of your sources 2. Some of the following: A. Information to explain the authority and/or qualifications of the author B. Scope and main purpose of the work C. Any potential biases you may detect C. How this will support your research and claim. The Bibliography should have the exact form indicated by the example listed on the Dianne Hacker Reference web site that is listed in your syllabus, that I have shown you in class, and that is attached to this assignment. You should have at least : 1. 2 internet sources 2. 2 book or scholarly article sources 3. Identify one interview or potential interview These are the MINIMUM sources needed to get a "C" on this project. The due date is listed on the syllabus.
