The applicant should have completed graduation from a state accredited nursing program. 2. The applicant should have English language proficiency. 3. The applicant should be of good moral character and should have good physical/mental health. Research and identify three (3) positions/employers the student could work for as a new graduate BSN in the geographic area the student is seeking employment. 1. Position: Graduate Nurse Description: The Nurse will work under the supervision of Nursing manager to improve skills and knowledge over time. Employer: Valley Wise Health System Application Process: The applicant needs to apply on company website. Qualification: New graduate with maximum of 2-year experience. The applicant should have RN license for Arizona state. 2. Position: RN — New Graduate Program CAREER CARE NURSING 2 Description: The residency program nurses will evaluate patients, assist physicians and administer medications. Employer: North West Medical Center Application Process: The applicants need to apply for programs on the company website, the shortlisted applicants will be invited to the center for face to face interviews. Qualification: Must be graduate and have RN license for Arizona state. 3. Position: Registered Nurse (RN) — New Graduate Description: One-year full time residency program with hospital orientation, lab skill development and educational forums. Employer: Tucson Medical Center Application Process: Apply on medical center website for program starting from March 2020. Qualification: Must be graduate from national accredited nursing program. Must have Arizona state RN license. Identify motivators and possible detractors for working in those positions/with the selected employers. 1. Learning can be a big motivator at the start of career. 2. Experience level of senior nurses and physicians can be a motivating factor. In nursing domain practical learnings can be achieved much faster if experienced guide is available (Mary & Frances & Michele, 2008). 3. Salary drawn, working hours and work conditions can be other factors in motivating or demotivating nurses. CAREER CARE NURSING 1. I do plan to continuously contribute to professional nursing community by writing articles and research papers related to best practices in the field. 2. I do plan to contribute to student general community by attending training events on invitation as a trainer or in any other role. (b) examining the need for the student’s own professional nursing development related to monitoring outcomes data for patient quality & safety. I do believe that anything that cannot be measured cannot be improved. So, I do plan to continuously revise my theoretical and lab learnings on methods to analyze data on improving patient safety. My plan is to do rigorous quality improvement plans and implement the same in my work. Evidence based improvements do improve practice over a time rather than arbitrary attempts (Matos, 2017).
