STAGE1 OF SSB – SCREENING PHASE (day 1 of SSB) HOW TO GET SCREENED IN EVERY TIME ? SADLY THERE IS NO SURESHOT WAY TO GET SCREENED IN EVERY TIME. BUT YOU CAN ASSURE YOUR SCREENING UPTO MAXIMUM PICTURE PERCEPTION • PICTURE PERCEPTION – 1. Observing hazy picture for 30 sec deliberately and noticing small details like type of picture rural and urban. Noting the type of background, characters number, their outfit, their gender, their mood. 2. Correct box marking – marking characters in provided and doing circle on the character that gains the attention. He can be or cannot be the hero ( 1 min total time included in 5 minutes) no indication will be given to write story.) 3. Story writing – writing story in 4 min. It is the test of imagination. You have to write the story around the picture but do not have to describe the picture. Just express your thoughts while writing without thinking about beauty of expression. consider emotions and feelings of character while writing story. While writing the story you have to write “what led to the situation”? What is currently happening?, what is the likely outcome? DISCUSSION TEST • Individual narration- 1. Tip - after giving PP&DT story sheets, first re-write the story on any piece of paper and revise your story multiple times (30-40-50 times) and design image of it. • 2. maintain good posture, narrate your story confidently, loudly, fluently among the group member and also listen to other candidates too. Discussion phase – discuss with group members to bring the group to consensus. • Usually last for 2-5 minutes Do’s and don'ts's of narration. • Narrate your story loudly, clearly, fluently. Don’t rush while narrating. • Don’t take pauses and fillers in between. • Don’t repeat words of your story that are already spoken. • Don’t commit grammatical errors. • Look at eyes of candidates only not at assessors. • Always sit in good posture. Don’t sit in dull way. • Maintain good hairs, good dressing sense. • Always listen to candidates story properly, this will help in contributing towards the common story.
