Wisconsin Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Training Beer - Answer -A fermented malt beverage containing 0.5% or more alcohol by volume. Cider - Answer -- An alcoholic beverage obtained through the fermentation of apple & pear juice. The term includes flavored, sparkling, and carbonated cider. - It contains greater than 0.5% alcohol by volume but less than 7% alcohol by volume. Homebrewers/Home Winemakers - Answer -No license or permit is required under the following circumstances: 1) The manufacture of wine or fermented malt beverages by any person at a business that primarily sells supplies and equipment for use by homebrewers or home winemakers. 2) The tasting of wine or fermented malt beverages manufactured at such a business if the product is not sold or offered for sale. - Wine and fermented beverages provided at a business for tasting may be only be provided by someone who holds an Operators' License. Federal Tax Stamp - Answer -To be a fully legal business, you must also complete an Alcohol Dealer Registration with the federal Department of Treasury Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau both before commencing business and when changes are made in your business practice.
