After this, we an start exploring the practical part of this by acting it out through role-plays in the next lesson. Hr 3: In the third hour, we will focus on the practical side of what we would have learned in the previous lesson. In this lesson, Alberto will focus more on the speaking skill. He will be tasked with giving a presentation of his own as well. Hr 4: The 4th hour will focus on current affairs. This will start with a video on monkey pox after which we will discuss what this means in terms of a possible second pandemic. This lesson will incorporate both casual and professional language as Alberto will have to present his thoughts logically and (based on the video) also touch on the economic fears surrounding the possibility of a second pandemic. Hr 5: In the 5th hour, we will touch on climate change. Again, this lesson will incorporate both casual and professional language as we discuss the impact and effects of climate change. This lesson will also equip Alberto with both causal and professional vocabulary. HOW WILL THE COURSE MEET THE LEARNER’S NEEDS? The lesson plan will allow for all the learner’s perceived weaknesses to be addressed and improved. The lesson plan incorporates all the learner’s interests and preferences and as such, will keep them engaged and motivated to keep learning. The lesson plan also allows the learner to strengthen their perceived strengths by not completely ignoring and negating those. PRESENTATION • Provide learner with a copy of the interview questions from the previous video. • Explain why these questions are important and why the interviewer would require this information from candidates. • Present words from video identified by Alberto, their meanings and pronunciations. 3. PRACTICE • Task: Write down your own list of questions you would ask as an interviewer and explain why these questions would be important to ask. 4. PRODUCTION • Roleplay: Teacher will write down some questions and act out the role of the interviewer • Professional presentation (homework task). 5.
