"Practice non-therapeutic massage" means - ANSWER to engage professionally and for compensation in massage therapy in a setting that is NOT a health care facility. "registered massage practitioner" means - ANSWER an individual who is registered by the Board to practice massage therapy in a setting that is NOT a health care setting. "registration" means - ANSWER unless context requires otherwise, a document issued by the Board to practice massage therapy in a setting that is NOT a health care setting. Classroom training: - ANSWER -minimum 600 hours -at least 100 of those hours shall consist of: anatomy, physiology, pathology, & kinesiology -remaining 500 hours shall include a majority of hours in: massage therapy theory; technique; supervised practice; professional ethics; professional standards; business practices; health & hygiene; and contraindications of massage. CPR training is required, but - ANSWER does not count toward the 600-hour minimum.
