Our trip starts discovering the splendid Piazza San Marco, one of the best landmarks of Venice.
Here we visit the spectacular byzantine Basilica San Marco: you’ll be enchanted by its bright mosaics showing the history of St. Mark, by its countless impressive artistic masterpieces and its precious jewels.
Piazza San Marco is surrounded by lots of interesting sights to visit: we can continue our sightseeing on a visit to Doge’s palace, the magnificent gothic palace which is one of the symbol of Venice. The grandeur of its architecture reflects the city doge’s civic and historic importance, as does the striking façade overlooking the lagoon. At its interior you’ll discover also the Opera’s Museum, the sparking rooms of the Appartamento Ducale, and the Institutional rooms.
When you’re outside the palace, why don’t you take a delightful photo on the famous Bridge of Sights?
If you love breathtaking views, don’t miss to go on the Moorish clocktower in Piazza San Marco, which strikes the hours on a large bell. From the top of it you can see almost all the marvellous urban landscape of the city!
The maze of back alleys are full of excellent restaurants where have lunch. For exemple, in the welcoming trattoria “Arca” in Dorsoduro you can delight an appetizing dish of pasta or a “risotto” and drink only high quality wine.
In the afternoon we make our way to the magnificent Ca’ Pesaro palace, the baroque palace built by Baldassarre Longhena which hosts the attractive museum of modern art.
Then, you have free time to explore the magical Venice. Stroll down its narrows streets looking around you: there’s something exciting to see everywhere! From small lovely shops to little picturesque houses…

You don’t have to go in a particular night pub to have an unforgettable evening in Venice, because it’s the most bewitching city on night. You’ll be enchanted by the breathtaking show of lights that this gleaming city will offer you!
We spent the night in the welcoming luxurious bed & breakfast A Tribute To Music Residenza.

Today we savour the sights and the sounds as we cruise to the small island of Murano on a steamboat. Enjoy the trip down the clear sea which reflects the romantic atmosphere of Venice. We’ll arrive to Murano in a short time because the island isn’t very far from the centre.
The island of Murano is famous for its excellent production of glass. Discover the treasures of the Venetian handcraft at the Glass Museum in Palazzo Giustinian, a Flamboyant Gothic palace which hosts the best collection of glass works describing the history of glass making in Venice. Moreover, here you can attend to a glassworking demonstration in furnace: it will be very interesting!
Next past Burano, a captivating small island which you’ll surely love. Stroll down its multicolor pretty houses which reflects in the water and enjoy its peaceful relaxing atmosphere. After an appealing walk we visit the Lace Museum, where you’ll admire rare and precious pieces offering a complete overview of the history of the Venetian and lagoon’s laces.
It’s lunch hour: you can taste the specialties of Burano, all including fish. You should try the “trenette alle capesante”, a particular type of pasta with shellfish, and the delicious turbot’s fillet.
