This advertisement shows the campaign of
Fenty Beauty.
The image shows different types of skin in one
person, that is of great effect.
The purpose of this advertisement is to show
the inclusivity of the brand. Fenty Beauty has
overcome the problem of the dark skins’
discrimination in the world of make-up and
through this ad it is showed.
The target are all people with different types of
skin interested in make-up.
In the ad the brand is Fenty Beauty, but there is
only the logo FB, with a headline “for all”. The
headline is effective because it draws the
attention of people and underlines something important and on which the campaign
is based.

1. FIRST ADVERTISEMENT

This advertisement shows the campaign of Fenty Beauty. The image shows different types of skin in one person, that is of great effect. The purpose of this advertisement is to show the inclusivity of the brand. Fenty Beauty has overcome the problem of the dark skins’ discrimination in the world of make-up and through this ad it is showed. The target are all people with different types of skin interested in make-up. In the ad the brand is Fenty Beauty, but there is only the logo FB, with a headline “for all”. The headline is effective because it draws the attention of people and underlines something important and on which the campaign is based.

2. SECOND ADVERTISEMENT

The advertisement shows the campaign of Van Heusen ties. This ad is controversial because it shows the sexism of that time. The image shows a man in the bed wearing shirt and tie, while his wife is serving him the breakfast. The brand name is Van Heusen ties, and the slogan is “Show her it’s a man’s world”. In the bottom there is also the body copy, where it is underlined again the fact that it is a men’s world. The target audience of this advertisement is a masculine audience, and it seems to be clear through some messages. Today this advertisement would not be accepted, because it is sexist and shows an archaic and sexist mentality. The grammar used is correct, without fragments and the writing style is parataxis.

4. FOURTH ADVERTISEMENT

This advertisement belongs to the campaign of Gilette. The brand name is Gilette and near the brand name there is the write “safety razor”. Then there is the headline “begin early, shave yourself” and the slogan “no stropping, no honing”. The grammar used concentrates first on the use of imperative, and then on the use of infinitive and implicit sentences. The advertisement has the aim to persuade its target audience throw the image of a child.

5. FIFTH ADVERTISEMENT

This is not a traditional advertisement, but it is a social media advertisement made by the campaign of L’Oréal. This type of social media ad is a static image. The brand is L’Oréal professionnel Paris and the image shows the products Metal Detox, name that is repeated by the hashtag. The most important part of the advertisement is the fact that there are some opinions from common people and influencers. The social media advertisements work very well because the target audience are young people. The grammar used is correct and the writing style is the parataxis. There are no emojis, that belong to the social media language, but there are hashtags.
