INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

WEBQUEST : http://questgarden.com/11/24/9/051130004841/t-index.htm Students will discover alternatives to recycling in the battle to reduce waste in landfills. By the end of the WebQuest the students will propose a reuse for a waste product or a means to reduce waste products (i.e. packaging changes). I understand the huge impact recycling has had on reducing waste products, but I feel that the other two "R's" (reuse and reduce) are routinely overlooked. Through this WebQuest I hope to uncover some creative ideas for using reuse and reduce as a means of waste reduction. SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education states The potential advantages of e-learning include:

  • Can be stimulating and motivating
  • It is non-judgemental
  • Can have the potential to be tailored to specific needs It also mentions the following as effective methodological approach within inclusive education.
  • Co-operative learning – learners that help each other, especially when they have unequal levels of ability, benefit from learning together;
  • Collaborative problem solving – for all teachers, clear class rules and a set of borders – agreed with all the learners – alongside appropriate (dis)incentives have proved particularly effective in decreasing the amount and intensity of disturbances during lessons;
  • Heterogeneous grouping – mixed ability level groups and a more differentiated approach to teaching are necessary when dealing with a diversity of learners in the classroom;
