Write an email to your friend Paul about a recent trip. Tell him about how you travelled and any
experiences you had on your journey. Make use of the past tenses you have studied and the vocabulary
related to travelling.
Hi Paul,
How are you doing? I hope you’re well.
I’m writing to tell you about my last holidays in Paris!
Last month, my father wanted to make a gift to my mother, so he organized a trip finding the plane tickets
and the hotel on a travel website. He had already booked their flight from Bari to Paris when I decided to
join them. So, I bought my flight and we left together on Saturday morning.
We stayed in a hotel close to the Eiffel Tower: we could see the stunning tower from our bedroom!
Walking around the city, we saw many places like the Tuileries garden, the triumphal arc, the Champs
Elisées, the Concordia square. Since I don’t like art and museums, while my parents were visiting the Louvre
museum, I took the opportunity to go to a bookshop called “Shakespeare and Company”, where many cats
usually walk in the shop.
