The world moves faster and so do people, literally. Considering transportation as a field that is in
continuous progress, there has been a profound change in its accessibility and perception. How did
we go from horseback riding to having the world in the palm of our hands thanks to planes and high
speed trains?
The first train station was completed in the kingdom of the two (C) Sicilies in 1839, and it was 7,
(P)25 kilometres long, (SB) since then, transportation has evolved connecting cities in all Italy,
making travelling and movement much easier. Nowadays there is a bus or a train predisposed for
any destination. Certainly with the advance (GR) of technology (P) the whole world has become
much easier and cheaper to explore, as revealed by the many aeroplane companies which offer low-
cost flights,hence breaking the last limitation to mobility. Furthermore (P) the adoption of websites
through which travellers can buy tickets has made flying even more simple and effortless.
Nevertheless, after all the improvements that have been made to the transportation patterns, there
are still a few impediments. Such as the large amount of polluting emissions the buses, cars, planes
and other means of transportation release, especially in cities. Consequently (^) damaging the
environment and the citizens' health.
In conclusion, the growth of transportation options has contributed to improve everyday life, but it
still requires new creative solutions to make it safe for the earth as well.
