All of us can be one day in a bad mood, but sometimes we just need a laugh to cheer us up. And generally the easiest way to do that is watching a good funny movie. My favourite one is “Quo vado?” by Checco Zalone, a traditional Italian comedy movie, really classic but still really funny. Despite it is a comic movie, the plot is pretty articulated and more events follow in the same time period. Well, that is to keep always the spectator attentive to what is happening on the scene I guess, not to lose a laugh either! Briefly, the movie is about the life of Checco (Francesco), a South-Italian man who still lives with his parents to avoid the responsibilities of indipendece and got a steady employment as civil servant in his city, which allows him to lead an easy life. Checco’s dramas and the comedy both start when he is obliged to move from a country to an other to work, once he gets mobility: the only way to keep his steady job after the new administrative reform introduced by the government. Since then he will be catapulted into various and tricky places to carry on his work, totally different from his previous life in Italy. I do love the type of irony used through the movie by characters (especially the protagonist, Checco) because it is very simple and very efficient in the same time, so it never fails to make you smile, without ever being excessively boorish or basic. Finally I think when we are in a hard moment and lots of worries surround our head, there is nothing better than a spontaneous and thunderous laugh to relieve our mind. And that’s why I strongly suggest anyone feeling sad to give at least a chance to this movie. (300 words)
