that he would become king his ambition was awakened.
His wife, who was a very ambitious woman, pushed him further.
He loved her very much and was under her power and did what she suggested.
He called her his dearest partner of greatness.
Although he is troubled by his conscience about betraying his king, nevertheless he
kills him.
His short reign as king is troubled by remorse and sleepless nights.
Macbeth, who was tempted and cheated by the witches, is in the end wary of life and
fully aware of his deception.
He paid all the consequences of his betrayal but died in battle like a brave soldier.

Lady Macbeth is an ambitious wife who loved her husband and wanted him to
become king.
She persuaded Macbeth to kill King Duncan and all those who will be an obstacle in
their way. She was more cold-hearted than her husband and manipulated him by
questioning his courage and his love for her.
She often cannot go to sleep, and when she slept, she had terrifying dreams.
Soon her mental and physical condition deteriorated.
Her maid saw her sleepwalking and madly trying to cleanse her hands of Duncan's
blood and consulted a doctor.
But he cannot help her and finally she committed suicide as she can no longer bear
the torment of her guilty conscience.
