Mangoes and Bullets: A Poetic Exploration of Language and Identity by John Agard - Prof. F, Sbobinature di Lingua Inglese

In this thought-provoking poem, john agard uses metaphors and language play to express the challenges of immigration and identity. The poet compares himself to a 'man on the run' and a 'wanted man,' highlighting the dangers and misunderstandings that come with being an immigrant. Agard also explores the power of language, using it as a weapon and a means of self-defense. This poem is a powerful commentary on the experiences of immigrants and the importance of language in shaping our identities.
