Eleonora: PLOT

The story tells of a boy who falls madly in love with his cousin. One day Eleonora, her cousin, runs to her beloved warning him that she will die soon; the protagonist promises her, therefore, that she will not marry anyone else. One night, however, she appears to hi m in sleep from the afterlife and reassures him by telling him that she is now in hea ven and he can live peacefully the rest of his life. Eleonora dies. He moves to a small isolated town and finds another girl whom he de cides to marry against his oath to Eleanor. The protago nist remains permanently obsessed with the promise made to the deceased relative and almost decides to leave his new wife.
