GENERATION
The second wave of romantic poets, Byron, Keats and Shelley, where quite different from
the other, in style and for preoccupations.
The poetic consciousness is more compless than their predecessors.

the humorous spirit of Neo-classical writer.
→ Shelley → she was a political radical who rebelled against the social and religious values of
society. She believed in the power of poetry to reform the world
→ Keats → he believe that poetry should be more subtle and that it should convey its meaning
primarily through its images and language. Poetry should speaks for itself.
