Hamlet is one of the most famous play of Shakespeare. Probably written between 1600/1602, the story of
Hamlet was already known at that time and Shakespeare decides to write it. The insecurities that Hamlet
feels are the same ones that modern man feels. Hamlet's insecurity is given suppressed by revenge. The
revenge that characterizes this work, since it is a tragedy because everyone dies in the end.
THE STORY
The king of danimark is dead. The queen no match time later married her brother-in-law. The king of
Denmark goes to his sons in a dream as a ghost, explaining to him that his brother claudius had poisoned
him, and therefore had to revenge him. Hamlet first needs rehearsals, organizes a kind of play, tells the
actors to add a scene where claudio poisons the king of Denmark, seeing claudius' reaction he would have
understood. As soon as Claudius sees the scene, he stops everything and goes away. Hamleto goes to his
mother's room but does not realize that he has been followed by polonius, the king's adviser (he has two
sons Laertes and ophelia). father and uncle. The ghost of the king reappears and reproaches him for
delaying his revenge and tells him to leave his mother alone. The mother, seeing her son talking to himself,
thinks he is crazy. Hamlet hears a noise from the floor and Hamleto draws his sword and lunges into the
tent without checking who it was. Kills Polonius, ophelia, not bearing the pain, drowns. Brother Laertes sees
in Hamlet the killer of his sister and his father and allies himself with claudius. Hamlet sees claudis who was
praying has a chance to kill him but he doesn't. King claudio manipulates laertes. Organize a duel, to see
who is the best, if laertes won they would have been equal and revenge would have been made if instead
Hamlet won his soul would still be restless. But in reality if he had won laertes and touched hamlet the
poison on the sword would have killed him, instead if he had won hamlet claudius he would have made him
drink a flat cup of poisoned wine. Hamlet wins the duel but the mother drinks the cup in her place, seeing
the scene claudio repents, laertes hits hamlet, claudio seeing hamlet on the verge of death claudio
confesses, hamlet realizing that he would die kills both laertes and claudius and dies in the arms of Horace.
