Dear Tom,
I’m glad to hear from you, we haven’t write each other, by letter, since last summer. As you know next year
probably I will go to university to study Economy because I want to became a “business” woman. Deciding
which subjects to study is such a difficult choice! As I remember you are really good at languages: when you
came to visit me you were able to speak Italian so fluently and when we went to Spain together you were
always ready to ask for information. You love traveling and discovering new cultures, that’s true, and due to
this you can learn languages alone, you don’t need a teacher: traveling is the best way to learn them. I think
that science is so important to understand human being life, nature and the universe that surrounds us.
You are interested in taking care of animals, this can be the chance to become a vet in the future. If I were
you I would decide to include science in my main course of study. Let me know what you will choose.

There are many ways to spend your free time, some requite more energy, others are softer.
During the week I usually play sports or going for a walk with my best-friends Sara. Practicing sports is very
important for the body but also for the mind: after an intense studying day, relaxing while having fun with
friends is the best thing to do. Sometimes I spend time with my little brother taking care of him and playing
together some videogames.
What I prefer to do during my free time is reading: thanks to books I can image to be a different person in a
past, wired, amazing world. When I read time seems not to pass and this is a great help for today’s busy
world.
One of my great passion is photography: I think that photographs are the universal idiom of today. Without
knowing the languages through a photo you can arouse interest in those who observe it and make them
understand you feeling, your emotions.
There’s no a wrong way to spend your free time, you only must have fun and do your activities with
passion.
