12 Interview Questions to screen candidates by: OnlineJobsPH
As you narrow your field of potential hirees, use specific questions to find the brightest
and most capable candidates.
Applicants’ responses will help you gauge their English, responsiveness, attention to
detail and their work drive.
Here is a list of specific interview questions you can use as a template when
interviewing Filipino virtual workers:
1. Do you already have another job? If so, where are you working and how many
hours are you working?
2. How much money do you want to make?
3. Have you worked for foreign employers before?
4. How long have you been doing (state type of work you’re hiring for) work?
5. Do you have your own computer and Internet access? If you have access, how
fast is your connection?
6. Will you work from home or from an Internet café?
7. Where are you in the Philippines?
8. Did you grow up watching Sesame Street or Batibot? (Batibot is the Filipino
version of Sesame Street. Those who grew up on Sesame Street tend to have
better English)
9. Please send me a link to your OnlineJobs.ph profile.
10.Please send me three references and examples of your best work.
11.Please write a paragraph of why I should hire you. Don’t send a list of your
experience; describe it to me.
12.When would you be available to start work?
And don’t forget about experience/skill-specific questions. Allow the candidate to talk
about their skills and experience—what systems and programs they know and how well
they know them, how long they’ve performed those tasks, and their past work
experience.
