Getting to know you!
Please answer the following questions. Submit your completed assignment as a .PDF
document through the digital drop-box inside of Blackboard (Tools > Digital Drop Box).
This assignment must be submitted by Sunday, January 25th at midnight to receive full
credit and is worth 15 points.
This introductory assignment serves two purposes:
1) For me to learn a little about you, and how much you already know about computers.
2) For you to learn about .PDF documents and see why I require that all assignments be
submitted in this format.
Here are the questions:
Question 1: Do you have a computer in your home? If so, what type of computer? Mac,
PC, desktop, laptop, etc. Tell me about it, how you use it, and whether or not you like it.
Question 2: How would you rank your computer skills, on a scale of 1-10? Please
explain.
Question 3: Have you taken any online courses before? How was it structured? Did you
like it?
Question 4: .PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file type created using Adobe
Acrobat software. Why do you think I would request that all assignments be submitted to
me in this format? Use Google (www.google.com) or your favorite search engine to dig
up some information on PDF documents. (Hint: “benefits of…”)
