ABSTRACT
As technology advances in the contemporary day, so does the job associate with it. Today's
business is completely reliant on the internet, and in order to run a business, we need the
internet's assistance in order for it to expand to a larger scale. A massive volume of data and
personal information is communicated and retrieved every day. The Online Shopping
application is a web-based tool for online retailers using open-source technologies (PHP,
HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and Apache Web Server) for products where customers
will be able to buy products online. This application's major goal is to make it interactive and
simple to use. It would make product searching, viewing, and selection easier. It has a
powerful search feature. Users can use this search engine to find products that are tailored to
their needs. The search engine offers a simple and convenient way to search for products,
allowing users to search for products interactively while the search engine refines the
products accessible based on their input. The user can then view each product's detailed
specification. They can also read product reviews as well as create their own. The application
also allows users to add products to their shopping cart by simply clicking them into the cart.
The designed application will have an admin view and the customer view. The admin view is
meant for the administrator to update the products, change prices, remove and add products
and also manage customers. The customer view will be accessible to the customers, and they
will be able to handle their information such as their name, address, and contact. Also, the
customer will be able to order for products from the shop to be paid when delivered.
Installing XAMPP, a basic web development environment, is essential before beginning to
build the website. The created website could be tried locally after establishing the website
folder inside the “xampp/htdocs” directory. Based around a real–world example involving a
web site selling t–shirts, you'll learn how to create and manage a product catalog, build and
integrate a shopping cart, and process customer accounts.
The purpose of this application entitled as “Nice Tees Streetwear” is to bring knowledge to
us, as a student about ecommerce and how an interactive ecommerce application can be
designed. During the making/developing of this project we explored new ideas and
functionality behind the working of a notepad++. We have gained a lot of practical
knowledge from this project and liked the improvement in our testing skills and concept
related to this kind of project, which we think, shall make us stand in a good state in the
future.
