Guidance on Availability of Accounting Courses
The following courses are offered every semester. They contain content that is normally covered in an
undergraduate major in Accounting:
ACCT5908 – Auditing & Assurances Services (ACCT5942 is a prerequisite)
ACCT5930 – Financial Accounting (provides an introduction to Financial Accounting)
ACCT5931 – Strategic Management Accounting (ACCT5996 is a prerequisite)
ACCT5942 – Corporate Accounting & Regulation (ACCT5930 is a prerequisite)
ACCT5943 – Advanced Financial Reporting (ACCT5942 is a prerequisite or a corequisite)
ACCT5996 – Management Accounting & Business Analysis (provides an introduction to Management Accounting
and ACCT5930 is a prerequisite or corequisite)

Note: Students with an Accounting major in their first degree should receive waivers for ACCT5930 and ACCT5996. A waiver
exempts students from the prerequisite requirement for particular courses. Waivers do not reduce the need to complete eight courses
for the program.
