Telangana government launches digital portal for MSMEs
The State government launched a digital business networking portal for MSMEs - Telangana State
GlobalLinker (ts-msme.globallinker.com) - to digitise over 2.3 million MSMEs of the State. The solution
aims to address key challenges faced by MSMEs with the core objective of making their business growth -
simpler, more profitable and enjoyable.
Telangana State GlobalLinker will provide MSMEs - a digital profile (including an online product
catalogue an eCommerce store), access to global networking opportunities to find buyers & suppliers,
economies of scale on a wide range of business services, access to industry news, articles and discussions.
PFC to lend Rs. 30,000 crore to Telangana irrigation schemes
State-owned public sector undertaking Power Finance Corporation has agreed to extend another credit
line of Rs. 30,000 crore to Telangana to help complete some of the major ongoing irrigation projects,
including Kaleshwaram, Sita Rama and Palamuru-Rangareddy schemes. PFC has extended loans of
over Rs. 40,000 crore to ongoing power and irrigation projects in Telangana. The break-up shows Rs.
23,000 crore has been extended for various power projects, including Yadadri and Rs. 17,000 crore for
electro-mechanical works of irrigation projects.
FeFA Girls Inititiative - A New Collaborative Project with ICRISAT partnered with
Telangana Govt
FeFA (Iron for Adolescent Girls), a new initiative to address malnutrition among adolescents was
launched.
Through this project, ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) and the International Crops Research
Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) will work in partnership with the Government of Telangana
to address these important issues. FeFA Girls includes two components: i) to establish diet-based
approaches for improvement in haemoglobin and iron status in adolescent girls, and ii) to generate
scientific evidence on nutritional benefits of groundnut and pearl millet (ICRISAT mandate crops) on
human health. The initiative will target girls in the age group of 16 to 19 years from social welfare hostels in
Telangana.
Ola signs MoU with Telangana government to implement smart traffic solutions in
Hyderabad
Ola, one of the world’s largest ride-hailing platforms, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
with the Government of Telangana, to support their efforts towards strengthening the traffic infrastructure
in Hyderabad city
Under the partnership, Ola share intelligent insights that enable the Government to implement smart
solutions to enhance the mobility experience in the city. The first pilot project proposed to be implemented
is the dynamic mapping of the ride quality of major roads in Hyderabad through Ola vehicles

State to impart training on 12 soft skills modules and three domain-specific modules on RTI, Office Procedures, and Finance & Accounts, apart from Sustainable Development Goals. The training is being imparted to achieve the goal of ‘training for all’.

Telangana to have India's first blockchain district

  • With Blockchain estimated to generate $3 trillion a year in business value by 2030, the government of Telangana is gearing up to leverage this opportunity by developing a conducive ecosystem for Blockchain in the state.
  • Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana is uniquely positioned to take a leadership role in the development of blockchain technology due to the critical mass of industries leveraging blockchain technology located in Hyderabad (financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, supply chain and logistics etc.), access to talent, support of entrepreneurship, and collaboration with enterprises.
  • The state wants to make Hyderabad one of the top 10 Blockchain cities of the world and has decided to create India’s first 'Blockchain District', which will be a physical area within Hyderabad and with the aim to create the world's best blockchain technology ecosystem.
  • The Blockchain District will house all major blockchain technology companies, will have a huge incubator and a world-class facility for promoting research, innovation and industry collaboration.   • In Telangana, people celebrated the fifth anniversary of its Formation Day on June 2 nd^ with enthusiasm and fervour. Telangana state as the youngest state in the country has completed five years of its existence.
  • The state had overcome the electricity crisis and on its way to overcome the crisis for drinking water as the mission Bhagiratha programme is on the verge of its complet ion.

Telangana Government issues guidelines to enhance 'Rythu Bandhu' amount

  • Telangana Government issued guidelines to enhance Agriculture Investment Support Scheme - Rythu Bandhu from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000 per acre per season. The Scheme was implemented in the year 2018- 19 with the objective of relieving the farmers from debt burden and not allowing them to fall in the debt trap.
  • This scheme was proposed for providing Initial investment support to Agriculture and Horticulture crops by way of a grant @ Rs. 4000/- per acre per farmer each season towards purchase of inputs like Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, towards Labor and other investments in the field operations of farmers' choice for the crop season.

Hyderabad to Host International Quran Exhibition

  • The cultural capital of South India, Hyderabad city is hosting an International Quran Exhibition from June 22 to 24, 2019. The exhibition will be open daily from 10 AM till 5 PM at Salar Jung Museum.
  • In this ‘International The Quran Exhibition’ famous and leading museums, institutions and centers in Iran and India will be displaying the facsimile copies of the rare and illuminated copies of the holy Quran, the books published in Iran and India related to all the Quranic Sciences in particular the Tafsir (exegesis) and the software products related to the Hifz (memorization), Qiraat (recitation) and the terminology of the Quranic terms.
