Dear GFS Families,
Happy New Year to you all. We hope that you had a peaceful and relaxing break with your families and
friends, wherever you spent it. As we are an international school community, we know that many of us
travel to visit and meet up with extended family members, or to take advantage of the many holiday
destinations that we can visit from Dubai. However you spent your time, we hope above all that you all
enjoyed the company you kept along the way; the best part of any holiday journey is the people we spend
our time with.
As we commence our new calendar year and school term, we look forward to sharing our time along the
journey together with you. We are especially looking forward to seeing how much we can continue to
Grow, Flourish and Succeed as individuals and as a whole school community. We have a vast
arrangement of activities for our children and opportunities for engagement with parents ahead of us and
we look forward to seeing you in school over the course of the term ahead.
Please continue to check GEMS Connect for schedules, engagement invitations and announcements.
Please also continue to keep lines of communication open with your children’s class or form teacher, as
well as our supportive administrative teams, who are always available to help.
For the time being, we hope that you have the opportunity to reflect over the first week of our new term
and that we can start to look forward to our exciting journey ahead, for this term and for the rest of the
school year.
Many thanks,
Mrs Mandy Herron
Head of Primary
