- Power Supply Resistance: Resistance is the opposition that a substance offers to the flow of electric current Resistivity: Resistivity refers to the electrical resistance of a conductor of a particular unit cross-sectional area and unit length Mathematically: ρ = RA /l. LAB TASK: For finding resistivity of copper wires we have to do the following steps:
- Switch on the power supply and give small amount of current in the wire. Record the current and corresponding voltage across the wire from the meters on the power supply.
- Keep on changing the current with regular intervals and record corresponding voltages and insert values in the table below. OBSERVATIONS AND CALCULATIONS:
