Article Critique
Directions: Select a research-based article in the area of (1) evaluation and (2) assessment
that has appeared in the past seven years. Use the outline below to report the basic features
of the study. Use the strengths, weakness, and comments sections to indicate your
professional reactions to the particular article. Reactions may include implications or
educational impact. Limit your report to 2-pages single-spaced with 12-point font and
1-inch margins. Responses should be in short-response format, meaning you should answer
I, II, etc. Assignments will be posted on the web-page for classmates to review.
Grading: Each item will be assigned a rating using the following scale, totaling 39 pts.:
1 = Poor, 2 = Good and 3 = Excellent (½ s will be assigned)
