Ejercicio oral #5
The fifth and final Ejercicio oral will be with your travel groups and the focus will
be to pull all the information that you have learned about your country together
with the communicative vocabulary that you’ve been gathering all semester. You
have two options for how to use your 10-15 minutes.
Option A: Your group represents a travel agency that is competing to sell a
package trip. We are your audience, so you want to give us as much information
as possible, while convincing us that we should choose you over the other groups.
Your handout should be a brochure with all the information we would need to
decide. Use every persuasive strategy at your disposal.
Option B: Your group has been asked to prepare the orientation for a study
abroad program to your target country. You want to give the students the details
they need/want about the country, while also preparing them to meet the
challenges ahead. A good strategy would be to intermix scenes of a student
abroad in between informational segments. Your handout should include
information that a student would need going into the trip (or that he might need
to answer his mom’s anxious questions!).
Metas:
1. To demonstrate mastery of the vocabulary
2. To make persuasive arguments
3. To share the information learned about your target countries
4. To show control of pronunciation and rhythm
5. To practice listening comprehension
6. To put into practice your growing communicative skills
