BASIC COMPONENTS:
Basic components which we will use
in the formation of circuit are:
(1) Seven Segment Display
(2) LED’S
(3) Logic Gates
(4) Binary Coded Decimal Converters
(5) Counters
(6) Capacitors
PROPOSAL:
We are going to construct a “DIGITAL
CLOCK” using different logic gates .We will
use 7 segment display and LED’S to display
time. We will make in such away that it
performs the function of time set as well as date
can also be changed. We will use 8051 IC as the
basic component of our circuit. We will perform
almost all functions through this IC i.e: giving
input at different levels and it will give us output
which would be our requirement and other logic

gates will also be used along with 8051 according to our requirements. We will use at least 5 LED’S to perform their function. Four seven segment display will be used to display time and date. The format of time will be hours and minutes like 09:36 PM and the format of date will be day and month. Counters will be used to count hours, minutes and seconds and binary coded decimal converters will be used to convert seconds into minutes after every 60 seconds and also minutes into hours after every 60 minutes. Capacitors will be used in our circuit according to our requirements and we will also use a 1N4007 and a transistor. Buzzer will used to indicate change of hour.
