Force - Physical power used to compel an offender to take an action against their will. Or to prevent
an offender from taking action that would be damaging to themselves,others, and/or property.
Spontaneous force - Force that is a instant reaction. Happens as an immediate responses.
Anticipated force - Planned force
Non-deadly force - Does not cause death nor great bodily harm
Deadly Force - force applied by a officer that is likely or intended to cause death or great bodily
harm.
Use when: offender is escaping *order offender to stop before using force*
What is the purpose of controlling weapons in a facility? - To prevent escapes avoid disturbances
