Biological classification is a systematic method of grouping and organizing organisms based on their similarities, differences, and evolutionary relationships. The main aim is to help understand the diversity of life and study the relationships among various organisms. Early systems, such as Aristotle's plant-animal division, evolved into the more accepted Five Kingdom Classification by R.H. Whittaker, which organizes all living organisms into Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae, and Animalia. Each kingdom classification is based on cell structure, body organization, nutrition type, reproduction, and phylogenetic relationships. Modern classification also considers the three-domain system (Bacteria, Archaea, Eukarya), and exceptions like viruses and viroids are considered separately due to their unique features.
