CRITERIA TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION TO THE PROFESSIONAL NURSING PROGRAM.
1. Regular admission as a pre-nursing student to Arizona State University’s College of Nursing – must be in good standing.
2. Minimum prerequisite GPA of 2.75.
3. Completion of prerequisite courses with an earned grade of “C” or higher in every course.
4. Attendance at an Application Workshop (Contact: 480-965-2987)
5. Submission of all required application material by the following date:
December 1 for Fall admission
July 1 for Spring admission
6. Submission of all health and immunization requirements.
7. Fingerprint clearance.
8. Proof of negative Drug Screen.
9. Other material as required (see catalog).
10. 13 Prerequisites courses completed and enrolled in the last 4 courses.
NOTE: ADMISSION IS COMPETITIVE AND NOT ALL APPLICANTS MAY BE ADMITTED.

C RITERIA FOR GRADUATION FROM ASU COLLEGE OF NURSING

(Student assumes full responsibility for meeting all graduation requirements.)

1. Meet all General Studies requirements of the University; meet all degree requirements of the College of Nursing with a grade

2. of C or better.56 hours of General Studies and Prerequisite coursework and 64 hours of NUR coursework are required for a total of 120

credit hours.

3.4. 45 minimum credit hours in Upper Division courses.64 maximum credit hours from Community Colleges or other two-year schools.

5. 60 maximum credit hours by comprehensive exams.

6.7. 30 minimum credit hours taken in residence at ASU.60 credit hours taken in residence at ASU are required to be eligible for honors recognition.
