How to use a

Bunsen Burner

  1. Be sure Gas Tap is off. This is when the Gas Tap is in the perpendicular position to the Gas Nozzle.
  2. Securely fasten the rubber tubing to your Bunsen Burner and your Gas Nozzle.

  • Be sure the rubber tubing is firmly attached to the Gas Nozzle and the Bunsen Burner.
  • If a strike‐back occurs turn the Gas Port off immediately.

  • This occurs when the flame is extinguished.
  • Flame‐outs can stem from many different variables.

Disposal

  • Match should be drenched with water to fully put out the flame.
  • Do not place a match in the garbage can with out drenching with water.
