INTRODUCTION
According to the importance of business intelligence, today in this report I’m going to talk in
detail about business processes, supporting processes, different types of data, tools and
techniques with their functions, and lastly, implementing this by evaluating real-life examples.
1.1 BUSINESS PROCESS
A business process is a collection of business tasks and activities that, when carried out in an
orderly manner by people or systems, produce a result that helps the organization achieve its
goals. A business process includes at least one of, but not limited to, the
following elements (Gaikwad, n.d.):

In large firms, the value and benefits of a business process are obvious. Procedures are the
lifeblood of any company, allowing it to optimize individual activities and optimum resource use
(kissflow process, 2021).
Reasons of why a business process is required in the organization

A company's most important asset is its business operations.
A company's infrastructure is built to support its operations, staff, and technology.
Business processes are the sole way for all stakeholders in an organization, including
suppliers and customers, to interact and trade products and services.

Business process examples Processes vary depending on the size, industry, location, and other characteristics of a company, but there are a few that are employed globally in all of these areas. To assist you comprehend, we'll look at some examples of such processes (Gaikwad, n.d.). Advantages and disadvantages of business process (Girard, 2017) Procedure for selling Customer service Procedure for hiring Procedure of invoicing Market research process Procedure for accounting Advantages A documented business process ensures that everyone involved in the process follows the same set of procedures. A business method cuts the amount of time it takes to train new personnel. Managers can focus on exceptions instead of dealing with day-to-day operational concerns when they use a business process Disadvantages A disadvantage of a standard business process is that people who are part of it may feel they don't have enough freedom to execute their jobs in their own style.

Examples of Unstructured data (mongodb, n.d.) Unstructured data can be produced by humans or by machines. A few examples of human-created diversity:Mobile and communications data: Chat, phone recordings, instant Messaging, text messages, collaboration software.  Websites and social media: Data gathered from social media sites such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook, as well as websites like Instagram, photo-sharing sites, and YouTube.  Email: Traditional analytics systems cannot parse email message fields because they are unstructured. Email metadata, on the other hand, gives it some structure, which is why it's frequently referred to as semi-structured data.  Media: Digital photos, audio, and video files.  Files in text format: Word processing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, email, and log files all fall within this category. deeper grasp of the company's operations development is high. Semi-structured data Semi-structured data is defined as data that cannot be arranged in relational databases or that does not have a rigorous structural framework but has certain structural qualities or a loose organizational framework. Semi-structured data contains text that is grouped by subject or topic or fits into a hierarchical programming language, but the text itself is unstructured (Wolff, 2020). Examples of Semi-structured Semi-structured data is available in a number of different forms, each with its own set of applications. Some are scarcely organized at all, while others have a hierarchical structure that is rather advanced (Wolff, 2020). Examples:

  3. NoSQL databases
  4. HTML
  5. Electronic data interchange (EDI)
  6. RDF

Why we are using software for business purposes The software's use is critical for automating the organization's duties as well as reporting on the progress or delays in the operations. This increases the efficiency and efficacy of the business's operations. The program automates processes and decreases workload. It also aids with the removal of human mistakes, resulting in increased efficiency and uniformity (landmark, n.d.).
