MEASURES OF CENTRAL TENDENCY
Mean average the sum of the values divided by the number of
items of data
Median the middle value when the data are arranged in numerical
order (if there is an even number of data, find the
average of the two middle numbers)
Mode the value that occurs most frequently in the set of data
Range the difference between the greatest and the least values in
a set of data
Directions: Find the mean, median, mode and range for each set
of data. Show the sum calculated for the mean, and
show the numbers in order when determining the
median.
