INSTRUCTIONS FOR SECOND SEMESTER PROGRAM CHANGE
FOR 9-11TH GRADE
Requests for Second Semester Program Changes will be done via email.
Please note all changes will be indicated on the second semester schedule in PowerSchool
All changes are based on space availability.
o Space in elective classes is very limited.
This is a REQUEST and it may not be possible.
Students should ASSUME that they will remain in their current class.
Requests for teacher changes will not be accepted.
Second semester schedules are the student’s notification of the change.
Required email:
o An email from a parent or guardian is REQUIRED for all change requests to be
honored. Email should include the class requesting to be dropped and potential
optional electives for the class being added. Enter your students name on the subject
line. Please refer to the link here for elective options.
A class will need to be changed if:
a. You are making up a first semester class but don’t need the second semester
b. You need to make up the second semester of a class
c. You are currently a TA or Office Aide who will have maxed out TA credits (10).
You DO NOT need to request a change for:
ATHLETICS:
Coaches will submit their list of students for their programs to the athletic director. Please
contact the coach and athletic director directly to be moved in/out of athletics programs.
FRESHMEN:
A change will be automatic from Health to 2nd semester class.
If you did not have Health first semester, you must have Health second semester.
If you do not have Wld Geog. or Intro to Media 1st semester, complete the form requesting
Health if you haven’t taken it yet
ELL STUDENTS: All recommendations for changes for ELL students will be handled by Ms.
Jennifer Crawford. Ms. Crawford will send her recommendations directly to counselors.
SPECIAL EDUC. STUDENTS: Need to contact their advocate/case carrier.

Requests must be submitted to your counselor by email by Fri., January 15, 2021.
